Environment and Waste

The West Midlands Regional Assembly works on behalf of the West Midlands Local Government Association in this area.

Waste Management and Recycling is an IIU priority for 2005/2006. More information on Waste Management and Recycling.

The Assembly and a range of regional partners formed the Environment Partnership in June 2004. The Partnership aims to strengthen the environmental agenda at the regional level and provides a coherent regional voice and a champion for the environmental agenda. It advises on development and delivery of the environmental issues in the Regional Spatial Strategy, including waste, minerals and energy.
