Transport

The West Midlands is at the heart of the transport network in the UK and the issue continues to be a key priority for the region. The West Midlands Regional Assembly works on behalf of the West Midlands Local Government Association in this area.

The Assembly leads an active Transport Partnership which includes local transport authorities, the Highways Agency, the Department of Transport, Centro, the business community, Birmingham International Airport, the freight industry and bus and rail industries.
