The WMSMP Secretariat are:
David Barnes - Regional Director
David oversees the implementation of the UK Borders Agency (UKBA) Accommodation and Support Contracts working with both local authority and private sector housing providers across the West Midlands. His role involves liaising between UKBA and Regional partners in relation to the asylum dispersal programme and he also has overall responsibility for refugee integration and migrant support in the region. At a national level, David participates in the National Asylum Support Forum, the National Migration Partnership Group and the LGA Asylum Taskforce.

Dave Newall - Senior Policy Officer
Dave specialises in the Strategic Partnership's work around Children, Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASCs), Education and Health. Dave attends multi-agency meetings within the Dudley, Sandwell, Stoke-on-Trent and Wolverhampton areas of the Region and is the key contact for these areas. In addition, Dave undertakes generic policy work on all issues relating to asylum seeker dispersal, refugee integration and migrant support. He also works on issues related to Section 4 support and destitution and has developed protocols on Domestic Violence, Child Protection and Mental Health.

Clare Daley - Senior Policy Officer
Clare specialises in the Strategic Partnership's work around Community Cohesion, Communications and Media and Women's Issues. She works to develop dialogue, collaboration and refugee inclusion around cohesion issues and is the lead contact for work with media in the Region on refugee and asylum issues. Information dissemination about refugee, asylum and migration issues in Region is also a key focus of her role. Clare attends multi-agency meetings in Birmingham, Coventry and Walsall and she is also the key contact person for these areas. In addition, Clare undertakes generic policy work to support the Partnership on all issues relating to asylum seeker dispersal, refugee integration and migrant support.
